The Strings Choir
The Strings choir directed by Chuck Steed with Molly Axtmann at the piano met weekly for several years.  Community members and staff participated.  The choir was unique in that we only sang songs written by members of our community.  Songwriters we featured included Chuck Steed, Doug Blumer, Caren Armstrong, John Haley-Walker.

Young Composers Concerts
On Sunday afternoons Strings hosted eleven Young Composer Concerts produced by Molly Axtmann.  Recordings by Tom Bruce and Paul Tumolo with student apprentices Phil Hoxie and Stephen Spies.  Cd art by Lezlie Kinyon.
These concerts featured compositions written and performed by talented young people.  All styles of music were presented.  Many of these young composers have gone on to careers in music performance and composition.
